“I don’t need a shoulder to cry on. I am not looking for a relationship. I want…” What did she want? “To feel desirable, wanted, beautiful.” To feel like she was enough. “At least for tonight. Can you do that for me, Adam?”
“My name is not Adam,” he said.
“You will be Adam for me. Tonight. That’s all I want.”
His lips twitched before forming a devilish smile of approval. He waved at the bartender to bring another round of drinks. “You are beautiful.”
“That’s a good start. Keep going,” Grace said.
His deep chuckle did something funny to her stomach.
There was an air around him that she could describe as magnetic.
His captivating gray eyes spoke of passion and danger, and she couldn’t look away. He was a full package. Broad shoulders, the swell of his shirt gave hints of muscles hiding under it, and his irresistible confidence told her he knew how to handle a woman.
Grace hid her anxiousness behind a smile. It was happening! She was flirting with a random guy, and he was hot!
