Code Red – Conspiracy in EMS
A gripping medical thriller meets a twisting murder mystery.

When lives are on the line, who’s really calling the shots?

Lieutenant Byron Williams thought he’d seen it all in the streets of Philadelphia. As a seasoned paramedic, his focus has always been saving lives—until anonymous calls start steering him toward overdoses that don’t add up. The deeper he digs, the more he realizes these aren’t just accidents… they’re cover-ups.

Detective Camila Valdez has always trusted facts over feelings, but when she and Byron cross paths, the facts stop making sense. Their undeniable chemistry reignites a flame neither of them expected, but with every new clue, it becomes clear: someone within their own departments is orchestrating death.

As pressure mounts and the body count rises, Byron and Camila must risk everything—including their careers and their hearts—to expose a conspiracy buried deep within the EMS system. But in a city full of secrets, trusting the wrong person could be deadly.

Code Red is the first book in a high-stakes mystery series that pulses with adrenaline, slow-burn romance, and jaw-dropping revelations. Fans of Tess GerritsenCJ Lyons, and Tami Hoag will be hooked from the first call.

  1. This book had me hooked from page one.

Byron Williams is just trying to survive another shift in Philly EMS when a high-profile community leader collapses on his porch. It looks like an overdose—until the anonymous call comes in: “He didn’t OD.” From there, the story spirals into a tense, gritty thriller that uncovers a deadly conspiracy inside the very system meant to save lives.

I loved the realism, the dark twists, and the characters—especially Me’lisa Cartegena, Byron’s sharp-tongued partner who steals every scene she’s in. And Camila? The detective ex with unfinished business? Whew. The chemistry burns slow and deep.

Code Red is smart, emotional, and grounded in real EMS grit. If you’re into conspiracies, strong female leads, or medical thrillers with heart—this one’s for you.

Rating: 5/5 | Can’t wait for Book Two.
